Southern Refugees

To all those displaced by the invasion of our fair and native land by the forces of Northern oppression: this is to announce that the local military authority of our glorious Confederacy has offered to extend its protection to those uprooted by this tragic conflict.

To this end, there will be established a camp for refugee families. This refugee camp will be near enough to the military encampment to ensure the safety of our families in these uncertain times and yet far enough away to shield our families from those sights and sounds of the military establishment that may be too coarse for young and delicate eyes.

The military authority has assured us that all Confederate refugees will be welcome to avail themselves of this offer of protection at each engagement.
